English is an international and
communicative language, it is considered at the forefront of global languages
today, and it is one of the most widely used and popular in general fields or
precise scientific disciplines. It has become the language of sciences, natural
or human, and its proficiency has become an inevitable skill for everyone who
wants to practice these sciences and become aware of them.
There
are thousands of languages in our world and some of them are spoken by millions
of people and others are not spoken, but the English language has been confirmed to
be the most significant and widespread. Several televisions, radio programs, and
international conferences use the English language. English is required not only as
a spoken instrument, but also as an instrument in reading activities such as
English books, magazines, advertisements, and movies. So, English teaching may
be the best way to evolve our life fields.
The English language is the most widespread language in the world where

Virtual reality occupies an important place in this development as virtual labs are one of the applications of the so-called virtual reality, which is one of the innovations in educational technology, and it is an artificial or fictional educational environment that is an alternative to the real reality and simulates it, and the learner lives here in an imaginary environment with which they interact, participate and deal with their senses and with the help of a computer and some assistive devices.
The
method of teaching and learning did not stop at traditional means. Rather, modern
technologies were introduced, such as virtual labs; it is a technology based on
linking teachers and students remotely, utilizing a special application, thus
contributing to covering the largest possible number of students in different
geographical regions, as it reduces the high material cost that may be an
impediment to the provision of materials and tools for traditional study, and
the Arab countries have started their steps towards implementing virtual
education, but they are still in the process of experimenting and revising.
Many students have difficulty with
reading comprehension skills and low motivation for reading because they
believe reading is difficult rather than fun. To overcome this problem, the
teacher should create a learning environment that is comfortable and stimulating
to students' needs and readiness for reading. Thus, teachers should make a
simple effort to achieve these things using different and varied learning
methods and techniques, including these techniques that are suitable for
learning reading skills such as a virtual language lab. Through the above, and
concerning previous studies, the function of the virtual language lab is
to transfer students' awareness to a virtual electronic environment that
simulates the real laboratory. So, much attention is essential for us to use virtual
labs because it will constitute a qualitative leap in the field of education,
especially with the emergence of the COVID-19 Pandemic, which played an
important role in showing the importance and impact of e-learning and virtual
lab on the success of the educational process.
